Mission
Original: The Social Activities Committee will direct their efforts to the annual St.  Augustine dinner dance, St. Patrick’s Day dinner, St. Augustine festival and the parish picnic. Monsignor expressed an interest in increasing the number of picnics and proposed holding them at various times throughout the summer.
November Update: Raising capital that can be used as “seed” money for each of the other committees for their own purposes.  A number of small to medium sized events will be planned for this purpose: dances, shows, brunches, trips & golf outings.

The Social Activities Committee will be dedicated to raising capital that can be used as “seed” money for each of the other committees for their own purposes.  A number of small to medium sized events will be planned for this purpose.  The events discussed ranged from dances and shows to brunches and trips.  One event particularly well received was a golf outing.  The possibility of holding some of these events on an annual basis was explored.  The committee also identified the need for additional assistance in organizing and executing the plans drafted  and the need to coordinate with the other committees.
