Sr. Loretta Vincent Teirney
St. Augustine Alumni, writes about Nino Di Simone's
Stations of the Cross at Eagle Park

Dear Msgr. Hilary Franco,

You don’t know me or the Tierney family.  We were parishioners of St. Augustine’s.  All my brothers and myself graduated from there, that is old St. Augustine’s on N. Highland Ave.

I entered the Sisters of charity of Mount Saint Vincent in 1939.  I am now 83 yrs. and retired at Convent of Mary the Queen in Yonkers, NY.  We are located behind St. Joseph’s Hospital.  Of course, this neighborhood is familiar to me.

Monsignor, my reason for writing to you— Recently as I passed through our Community Room, I saw a book about the sculpture, showing the work of Nino Di Simone.  What I saw was just beautiful.  He is a very talented man.

Trust you are well and—

Sincerely,
Sr. Loretta Vincent Teirney
